Wilcox Blast Panels
In applications where flammable substances are stored, such as paint or similar substances, and a blast can occur causing damage to the building, it’s surroundings with possible injuries to people, then Wilcox Blast Release Panels can be the answer to not only protecting the personnel, but to reduce insurance premiums.
The panels are designed to swing open at a predetermined pressure and deflagrate the blast over pressure in a fraction of a second. The panels can be insulated and can close automatically to limit the oxygen supply to the fire allowing the building fire extinguishing system to extinguish the fire rapidly to limit the loss.

Blast doors are available from 100PSI to 1500PSI with the capability to design and manufacture over the 1500PSI when required. Fragmentation, rotational forces, seismic conditions, and overpressures are all taken into consideration.

Blast doors are designed to the US Army TM 5-1300 specification, DOD, NAVFAC, US Air Force AFM manuals for 100% compliance. These features are developed into all Door-Man products when required and fully supported by P.E. design calculations in 50 states, DC and Canada.
