The Wilcoxt U-Series airbag dock leveler (patent pending) combines our advanced, environmentally friendly air lifting system with the durable structural design that’s made us a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of loading dock systems. U-Series Air Powered Highlights Under dock view Front view of Airbag leveler Lip asisst Airbag not inflated Easy to Operate The U-Series airbag dock leveler comes standard with a NEMA4X / IP65 rated single push button control for sequenced deck and lip operation. When activated, the air bag inflates, raising the deck. When the button is released, the bag deflates, allowing the deck to lower smoothly onto the trailer bed. Structural Integrity A minimum of six heavy-duty U-beam channels are welded to the underside of the deck at dynamic impact points, preventing ‘dishing’ and extending the life of the dock leveler. For more demanding applications, the standard fixed rear hinge design can be advanced to assured motion float, a 4” (101mm) maintained deck tilt that allows the dock leveler to withstand heavier usage without experiencing deck fatigue.

The Power of Air The high-volume, low-pressure air lifting system is an environmentally friendly alternative to oil-powered hydraulics. The air bag can operate in extreme temperature conditions and withstand pressure without over-inflating. Its polyvinylchloride-coated polyester fibres make the bag resistant to chemical or puncture damage. Designed with Safety in Mind the airbag dock leveler operates safely and efficiently under the toughest conditions: temperature extremes, heavy usage, and exposure to caustic substances. The deck flexes under load to allow a smooth cross-docking transition, minimizing the risk of worker injury and cargo or equipment damage. The fall-safe system provides additional protection by limiting platform free-fall.

AIRDOCK® Industrial™

Series with patented ‘Next Generation Air’™ Technology Pull-Action™ Lifting System The Pull-Action™ lifting system maximizes efficiency by using the entire power of the bag to lift the deck. During the loading operation, the AIRDOCK Air Powered Dock Leveler bag remains stationary and fully protected. The Auto-Descent Lip™ extension uses the natural weight of the deck to activate the lip. Auto Decent Lip Extension The Auto-Descent™ lip extension uses the natural weight of the deck to activate the lip, unlike higher maintenance flip lip designs that compromise available lifting power. Air-Stop™ Deck Control With this unique option the dock operator has the ability to arrest the descent of the deck with a push of a button to avoid an obstruction or for safety and convenience in positioning the maintenance supports. Protected Single Chamber™ Balanced Air Bag Design The reinforced PVC coated Single Chamber™ Balanced Air Bag is protected over 99% of the time from environmental contamination. The Single-Chamber™ balanced design reduces material, redundant air chambers and unwanted seams which eliminates friction. Pull Action™ Lifting System The patented Pull-Action™ lifting system maximizes efficiency by using the entire power of the bag to lift the deck. Increased efficiency means less bags, seams, travel and cycle time resulting in long term improved performance. The platform is a unitized welded structure with continuous welds at the beam, header plate and lugs for maximum strength. The deck plate, lip plate, beam sections and lugs are constructed of minimum 50-55,000 PSI yield material. Standard center deck beam and welded side guards provide additional deck plate support. The continuous rear hinge provides side-to-side tilt with no pinch point. Hydraulic power for smooth, efficient operation, the power unit is a frame mounted integral assembly fully tested and oil filled. The motor is a totally enclosed non-ventilated type available in all voltages. Regenerative hydraulic cylinders are a heavy-duty design with polished chrome rods, guide bearings and high-pressure seals. Easy one-step push button control The operator presses the control button until the deck is raised and the lip is fully extended. Releasing the button allows the lip to lower onto the truck bed. The operator stores the leveler by pressing the control button until the lip fully retracts. Features
