Albany Door Systems' self-repairing UltraFreeze™ high speed door is designed for high traffic cold storage freezer applications where the need for speed is paramount. When fork-truck traffic is high, door speed is important, climate control is critical and safety concerns are at a premium, Albany's UltraFreeze™ is the solution. UltraFreeze™ high speed cold storage doors are tough, built to last and engineered to cycle hundreds of thousands of times.
Speed and Panel High Performances
- Speed: UltraFreeze opens at up to 100 inches per second.
- 2-Ply monofilament panel material standard with 3-Ply and Vinyl optional.
- Blue or Yellow panel material is standard, consult factory for other color availability.

UltraDefrost™ System
Reduce Frost and Ice Optional IR Light and Blower systems coupled with Heat Tape placed in strategic locations help keep frost off the door and panel.
BacSeal™ Weather Seal
Provides Double Seal on Top and Sides If you are going to purchase a high speed door, you want it to seal well. Albany provides a double seal of protection on all doors. Along the side columns and above the head, there is a track system that seals the gaps that can cause serious air leakage.
UltraSmart™ Controller
Makes Troubleshooting Easy All Albany doors come standard with Albany's exclusive patent pending and fully modular UltraSmart Controller. In the event of a problem, Albany's UltraSmart Controller diagnoses it and recommends a solution. If the door is impacted and breaks away, the Controller walks the operator through all the steps required to fix the door quickly and without hassle. The UltraCool UltraSmart control box comes standard with an integrated rotary disconnect.
BacFlap™ Auto-Reset System
UltraFreeze Interactive Demo Fully Self-Repairing With Albany's exclusive self-repairing BacFlap Auto-Reset System, door repair is automatic. After a door is impacted, the driver simply follows the directions on the screen, pushes a button and the door repairs itself. Everyone knows that no matter how fast a door is, it will get hit. In addition, while it is great to have a break-away door, it is far better to have a break-away door that is self-repairing. All Albany doors are self-repairing.
BacLight™ Safety Light Curtains (Optional)
Prevents Injury Albany doors offer more protective sensors than anyone in the industry. As a result, the risk of injury to people and damage to product is reduced significantly. One of the most common causes of injury is when a door comes down on a person and hits them in the head or face. This is often the result of photo eyes being improperly installed, or worse, not installed at all. Albany provides its exclusive patent pending BacLight Safety System on most doors. The BacLight system offers a full curtain of protection up to approximately seven feet high on both sides of the door. As a result, loads cannot go below or through the beams without being detected. Once an object is detected, the door automatically retracts. No door is as safe as Albany.
BacOut™ Safety Egress Weights (Optional)
Automatically Raises Door in Emergencies Albany doors can be supplied with our unique BacOut Safety System. When a power outage takes place, people want to get out of the building. In the event of an emergency, they want to get out fast. Albany's exclusive BacOut Safety System is automatic. Simply pull the brake release and the door will begin to open, allowing egress to occur easily and efficiently. No manual cranks or climbing ladders to open a door without power. Simply pull the brake release and you are able to get out. Availability dependent on door size.
Wireless Safety System UltraFreeze
Eliminate Coil Cord Problems Albany’s new wireless safety system is revolutionary. Most high speed doors in operation today use coil cords. The problem with coil cords is they:
